Mediation and Family Dispute Resolution

In most cases, you do not have to attend court. So you avoid costly legal fees, long waiting times, and the emotional stress of going to a court hearing.

Gentler methods, such as mediation and family dispute resolution (which is compulsory to apply for a parenting order), have proven to be very successful for separating couples – with an average success rate of 82 percent.[i]

All mediation and family dispute resolution sessions are held by an independent, accredited, and registered practitioner. They will gladly discuss any issues you may have, help work out how to reach an agreement, and give you a certificate at the end of the process.

If there is clear evidence to suggest that mediation or family dispute resolution is not suitable, or the safety and welfare of either you or your child/children is at stake, we can help apply for a parenting order without a certificate.
